OxyPros Plus is a fully licensed and accredited home medical equipment provider serving the Treasure Coast of Florida, centrally located in Stuart. OxyPros Plus was established in 2002 by healthcare professionals Jim and Linda Westcott, residents of the Treasure Coast since 1992. Jim is a graduate of Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY with an AAS degree in Respiratory Therapy. Jim worked in the hospital setting for several years before beginning to work in the field of home healthcare in 1985.
Linda graduated from Auburn College in Auburn, NY, becoming a Registered Nurse in 1976. Linda worked for many years in the CCU, ICU, and hospital emergency departments before beginning a family.
Jim and Linda bring their combined years of hospital and homecare experience to assure that the patients they serve receive only the highest quality of care.
Their shared philosophy of employing only personnel dedicated to providing consistent and professional care has resulted in OxyPros Plus quickly becoming the Treasure Coast's premier HME provider. Patients on our service are felt to be part of the OxyPros Plus family, and are always treated with dignity and respect.
At OxyPros Plus, we provide only the finest in home medical equipment whether it is a portable oxygen concentrator (POC), fully electric hospital bed, or a standard wheelchair. This assures our patients that the equipment they receive is reliable and easy to operate.
We welcome and encourage you to visit our website to determine how we can be of assistance to you. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances, and we will submit claims to your insurance company for your convenience.
Bob’s Closet is OxyPros Plus' way of honoring the memory of Robert J. Councilman, an early employee of our company. Bob's sudden death in May of 2009 at the young age of 46 was a shock to his co-workers, as well as the hundreds of patients he so compassionately and competently provided care for.
Bob was a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and skilled in his chosen profession. Moreover, his uncompromising commitment and dedication to those he served was recognized by his patients as well as the entire local medical community. His energy and presence at OxyPros was a mayor reason for our success. Bob made certain that each and every patient received the equipment and services they needed, regardless of their ability to pay. His unyielding dedication, patience, and caring was recognized by everyone. This generosity led us to develop what we call Bob's Closet. Specifically, OxyPros Plus will accept medical equipment no longer needed or being used from people in our community. Items such as nebulizers, CPAPs, wheelchairs, walkers, and oxygen tanks will be cleaned, refurbished, tested, and be available when those less fortunate have a need with no means to pay. At no cost to the patient, OxyPros Plus employees will deliver and instruct them on the proper usage of the equipment. We will provide free follow-up instruction when needed, and our 24-hour emergency personnel as well.
Bob's Closet fills a real need in our community. Unfortunately, there are a growing number of people that are underinsured or have no insurance at all. This program will help to keep people out of the ER or hospital, and allow them to recuperate at home.
If you have medical equipment at home you no longer are using, you can drop it off at our office, or if necessary, we can come to your home for pick-up.
Thank you in advance for any donation you are able to make. It will go to a worthy cause, Bob would be proud.
