Bob's Closet
Bob’s Closet is OxyPros Plus' way of honoring the memory of Robert J. Councilman, an early employee of our company. Bob's sudden death in May of 2009 at the young age of 46 was a shock to his co-workers, as well as the hundreds of patients he so compassionately and competently provided care for.
Bob was a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and skilled in his chosen profession. Moreover, his uncompromising commitment and dedication to those he served was recognized by his patients as well as the entire local medical community. His energy and presence at OxyPros was a mayor reason for our success. Bob made certain that each and every patient received the equipment and services they needed, regardless of their ability to pay. His unyielding dedication, patience, and caring was recognized by everyone. This generosity led us to develop what we call Bob's Closet. Specifically, OxyPros Plus will accept medical equipment no longer needed or being used from people in our community. Items such as nebulizers, CPAPs, wheelchairs, walkers, and oxygen tanks will be cleaned, refurbished, tested, and be available when those less fortunate have a need with no means to pay. At no cost to the patient, OxyPros Plus employees will deliver and instruct them on the proper usage of the equipment. We will provide free follow-up instruction when needed, and our 24-hour emergency personnel as well.
Bob's Closet fills a real need in our community. Unfortunately, there are a growing number of people that are underinsured or have no insurance at all. This program will help to keep people out of the ER or hospital, and allow them to recuperate at home.
If you have medical equipment at home you no longer are using, you can drop it off at our office, or if necessary, we can come to your home for pick-up.
Thank you in advance for any donation you are able to make. It will go to a worthy cause, Bob would be proud.
